I am an undergraduate student in my third year of Aerospace Engineering and Computer Science at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia.

I am a Research Engineer in the Software Systems Research Group (SSRG/ERTOS) at NICTA.

I am a bilingual speaker of English and Brazilian Portuguese.

My passion is in all things aerospace, particularly in air and spacecraft flight control systems, as well as in low-level embedded systems programming. I hope to one day work in mission design/control for NASA / ESA / UKSA / JAXA or a private space agency.

experience

NICTANeville Roach Laboratory, Sydney

Jul 2010 – present

Research Engineer in the Software Systems Research Group (SSRG) under Professor Gernot Heiser

Projects have involved operating system design for embedded platforms (Gumstix and BeagleBoard), porting of virtualised Linux to embedded platforms, PCB design and manufacturing, and website development. Worked exclusively with C and Python on Linux systems.

Designed an operating system based on the formally verified microkernel seL4 to be used as a touchscreen RFID card reader interface (involved writing custom drivers for SPI, bit-banged SPI, GPIO, timers, frame buffer library, and TRF7960 interfacing for an OMAP3 SOC).

Re-designed and updated an RFID card reader circuit schematic and PCB design. Ordered components for and soldered own boards.
